Vote for Vision – Involving the Public in Public Decisions
October 3rd, 2015One of the key reasons to vote in local elections is that you can engage the person you elect on a regular basis. We don’t work in Washington, D.C. We don’t make our decisions in Indianapolis. We are right here at home…everyday.
Being a local voter also means an opportunity to get involved in your community. Beginning with my term in 2012, citizens have helped us significantly shape the vision for the city you call home. We have had members of the public serve you by directly advising elected officials and staff for each one of these essential activities:
- Downtown/Riverfront Master Plan
- The Parklands of Jasper
- Review & rewriting of our Zoning and Sub-division ordinance
- Courthouse Square project
- Jasper Park Department Aquatic Needs study
- Mayor’s Strategic Planning sessions
- America’s Best Communities contest
The input and insight of voters combined with the talent of our staff and the support of elected officials has created a dynamic environment that positively impacts our community on a daily basis.
Let’s keep the public involved in public decisions. Vote to re-elect me as Mayor of Jasper and support our team of highly qualified candidates.
VOTE FOR VISION!
